In the book of Joshua there is a point where the people are called upon to do something to commemorate the things that God has brought them through. Today, we celebrate all types of events in life. In the process of each of these remembrances we should take heed to what the people of God did in the time of Joshua after they crossed the Jordan River. Recognize that it was God that did it and be prepared to teach future generations what and how He did it. Every one of us has the ability to share the difference that God has made in our lives, so we should be sure to do so. When you stop and think about His goodness, you cannot help but rejoice in Him. The psalmist said it best when it says, “How good and sweet it is when brothers dwell together in unity.”
