The Bible says that a soldier should count the cost before they go into battle. This is not to discourage going forward but to prepare yourself for the journey ahead. An old cartoon used to say that knowing is half the battle. The beauty of a relationship with God is that once you know Him, your battle belongs to Him. We, therefore, should do all that we can to gain understanding and wisdom for our journey in life so that we do not grow weary while doing good. Galatians tells us that we shall receive a reward if we do not faint. So, as you go forward doing what God has intended for you to do, make sure you look before you leap.
