An old man in a village was once asked about who were the great leaders that had been born there. His response was like a well-timed punch line, “No leaders, just babies.” Leaders are not born, they are trained and developed. God has given us the task of making disciples and we must recognize that is true also. What is very interesting about the process of disciple making is that it helps continue the development of the person doing the disciple making. Knowing this should inspire each of us to try even harder to be a disciple maker. It blesses each one that does it and when there are more people being more like Christ that has to be a good thing.
